Pictures from Germany

Posted by Clark Bunch on July 2, 2009

HeidelbergThis is Teresa and I above the Nekkar River in Heidelberg, Germany.  Some explanation is necessary.

My wife grew up as an army brat.  Her dad is from VA, her mom from PA.  She was born at Ft. Brag, NC, and lived in West Germany until age 9.  It is very difficult to tell people where she is from.  At any rate, I made a new friend on the Internet with a similar background (click to meet Era), and while sharing my story realized there were no pics from Germany on my blog.  Back then I was still Myspacing.  You can see all of those pics here.

The pic below: One of my Baptist preacher friends said that when we got back from Germany, he wanted a picture of me holding a giant beer stein.  I thought this was funnier.  I know what you’re thinking, and no; that’s a refrigerator magnet.

  1. That picture of us on the bridge; I took that myself. I’m holding the camera in my left hand. It’s one of the best pics I’ve ever taken, and I did from in front of the camera. That picture is also the wallpaper on our desktop PC.

Clark I am afraid I have to tell you that you have a drinkging problem. That stein doesn’t hold enough beer, that’s a real problem…

Thanks for sharing the photos. The one of you and your wife is really nice. You guys look cozy against the cold and the river and mountains in the background are beautiful. The stein ins hilarious! I had my parents give me one of their flip top ornamental ones as a souvenir since I was too young to remember Germany when we left. Thanks for the shout out!
