Team USA Brings the Gold

With only 5 events not yet determined (as of 6 a.m.) this is pretty much the final medal count. USA led in total medals for most of these Olympic games, but tossed back and forth with China for total gold.
Of the 44 gold medals won by Team USA, 29 of them were earned by women. Women’s basketball for instance not only won but dominated, winning many games by a margin of 30 points or more.
