You Deserve a Break Today, World Class Olympic Athlete

The largest McDonald’s in the world – expected to seat 1,500 – is being built in the Olympic Village for the London 2012 games.  McD’s will be the only brand name food sold in the village.

On the one hand, it’s a strange juxtaposition between fast food (remember SuperSize Me?) and finely tuned Olympic athletes.  From a practical standpoint, an Olympic Committee spokesperson says “Without our partners such as McDonald’s, the games simply wouldn’t happen.”

1,500 customers!!! Do that many people go to McDonald’s at the same time? The poor Olympians seem like that all they can do is chow down on Big Macs and Quarter Pounders. Or would that be Royale with Cheese?
