30 Days of Thanksgiving: Day 13

the fishI am thankful for Christian radio.

In a general way I mean all Christian radio stations everywhere. Every nation is not so blessed. In Germany the Berlin Wall fell, the country unified, and they enjoy a free Western culture for the most part. But all radio stations are strictly regulated (or operated) by the government and there are no religious broadcasts of any kind. In Calhoun, GA I listen to either 91.7 or the new 107.7 and in Rome I listen to 90.3 FM.

Today I am specifically thankful for Faith Talk 970 and 104.7 The Fish. I just came from their Pastor Appreciation lunch event. There is such a thing as a free lunch! The setting was elegant, the food was delicious and the serving staff quick and friendly. A gift bag at each seat included a leather bound copy of The Voice Bible among other things. During the door prize drawing I won two books provided by the Billy Graham Training Center, one of his and a Training Center Bible, NKJV. I had already picked up two books from their table in the lobby and there were other things in our bags and folder. A local church group provided excellent worship music and Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family, was the speaker. Not only did I enjoy a free lunch, but also an awesome worship service with 300 other Atlanta area pastors!
